

How to make Semiya Payasam:

Ingredients:
Vermicelli – 1 ½ cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – to fry
Cashew nuts, raisins – 1 table spoon
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Milk – 3 cup
How to make Semiya Payasam:
Add ghee to Vermicelli and mix well by hands
Saute the vermicelli in ghee till it turns brown.
Put vermicelli in hot milik and cover it, stirring occasionally.
After the vermicelli becomes soft, add the sugar stirring continuously.
After sugar is mixed well, remove the payasam from the stove. Add the cardamom powder fried cashews and raisins to the mixture.
Notes:
Frying the whole Cardomoms before making it powder makes the powder to smell really good.
